The Zohar below advises us how to avoid BASHING IN THE GRAVE by 2 angels that hold the body from both ends and bash it on the sides of the grave - not very pleasant. Two ways to avoid this:
1.Have children (at least 1 boy and 1 girl)
2. For men to guard against sexual misconduct
It's NOT enough to learn Torah (must comply with 1 and 2) From this it appears that this warning is mostly for men.
It's hard NOT TO BE AFRAID OF DYING but in Kabbalah death is falling into the KLIPOT; and being in the grave is intended to atone for sin and SEPARATE US FROM THE KLIPOT OF THE SNAKE. And as our soul ascends from the grave - it takes with it other sparks that fell in the KLIPOT.
When Jews are murdered by the Goyim, the Goyim think they have defeated us, but in reality we defeat them with our death because as the souls ascend up they take with them other fallen souls - which deprive the KLIPA of their power. But the body has to be in our possession or at least not under their control. This is why in Israel the government is willing to pay a high price to return the remains of fallen soldiers.
וּמִי הוּא? מִי שֶׁלֹּא נִתְעַסֵּק לְהַנִּיחַ בֵּן בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה. שֶׁכָּל הַמַּנִּיחַ בֵּן בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וּמְלַמְּדוֹ תוֹרָה וּמַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים, אֵין מַלְאֲכֵי חַבָּלָה וְגֵיהִנֹּם שׁוֹלְטִים בּוֹ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים קכז) לֹא יֵבֹשׁוּ כִּי יְדַבְּרוּ אֶת אוֹיְבִים בַּשָּׁעַר. אֵלּוּ מַלְאֲכֵי חַבָּלָה שֶׁאֵינָם יְכוֹלִים לִשְׁלֹט עָלָיו.
שֶׁלֹּא יֹאמַר אָדָם, הֲרֵי תּוֹרָתִי וּמַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים מְגִנִּים עָלַי, וְלֹא אֶתְעַסֵּק בִּפְרִיָּה וּרְבִיָּה. אֶלָּא אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁיֵּשׁ בְּיָדוֹ תּוֹרָה וּמַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים, אֵינוֹ נִכְנָס בִּמְחִצָּתוֹ שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, וְאֵין לוֹ חֵלֶק לָעוֹלָם הַבָּא.
